Had a birthday party here for 12 people and it was a success great service, food and liquor. Left a gift on the table by accident and they had it for us to pick latter. Highly recommend and we will be back regularly Ed and Ruth

We had Brussel sprouts, bruschetta and the fig pizza and everything was AMAZING. All the flavor combinations were spot on and everything cooked perfectly. The cocktails were well crafted and the service was great. Loved the low lighting inside also. We were really impressed, definitely will be coming back.

Tried J Squared for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is warm cozy casual. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Food came out fast, hot and fresh. Lots of options for drinks. There was a list of about 15 beers on tap, fun cocktails, nice wine list and a full bar. Space is limited, and you may have to share the long table with others, but it still feels comfortable. Looking forward to visiting again.

Went for happy hour with a friend. The bartender was friendly and the place was clean.The wedged salad was really good. The bartender made a mocktail from the cocktail menu, it was delicious.The bartender observed my friend and I were there to visit and gave us plenty of time before bringing the check after our meal. I really appreciated that level of professionalism. Definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful food, great service and such an inspired menu from the drinks to food. We will need to keep coming back to try everything. The ambiance is so lovely and calming too, you could easily spend hours here and not notice.

Amazing cocktails. Great beer selection. The lighting creates a nice atmosphere. The servers are friendly and attentive. The food came out in a timely manner and everything is DELICIOUS. They have a rotating menu I believe which I appreciate because you can tell they use very fresh ingredients. Their pizza is awesome. The chicken pesto pasta was absolutely remarkable and the two starters we got, spicy roasted Brussels sprouts and the cast iron brie were really amazing. I would go here every day if I could.

the food , service and ambiance are great. you may have to wait awhile for your food but it's worth the wait . i highly recommend J Squared if u like to try local beers and ciders and great food .

Nice smallish, intimate place for quick bites, beer, wine and cocktails.Fast, friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. I understand that they have a good Happy Hour as well.

Where to start! Excellent service and AMAZING food and drinks. My friend and I got the seasonal pasta and mezcal old fashioned, and both were some of the best we've ever had. The atmosphere was understated and chic, and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. I'mGonna be back!

Great tap house! This is a fantastic place in Longview. Their beer selection is great and pairs nicely with their food offerings. We have been here multiple times and have always gotten great service from friendly knowledgeable staff. When we have questions about their beers, they always know the specifics and have suggestions on which one will best serve the mood/taste.

This place is fantastic! The owner is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to beer and wine--she carries the best. The staff is very personable and attentive. The food is terrific as well. Can't say enough about this place!

My favorite local for great beer, wine and dinner. There aren't many places in Longview to find a diverse selection of wines and beers. We love hazy IPA's and J Squared has a lovely one currently. Sour's from Great Notion are such a treat and require waiting in line on release day. We are so thankful to have this business in our town.

Great selection, and they are always awesome about letting you try something before you commit. Fun and delicious appetizer selection. I have never had anything I don't like and enjoy that it isn't the same old selection. They definitely have flavors for all different taste buds

Since my last review 11 months ago they have added whiskey and bourbon, so my SO is happy now too. They've hired a great staff who are friendly and knowledgable. This has become our go to place, and we've never had a bad meal. The bread and pizza crust from the Kalama Bakery are soooooo good. The "Booze It Forward" board is a great way to surprise friend's.

I go here often and have been since they opened; it's a regular, local hang out spot. They have a great selection of approx. 15/16 beers on tap, as well as 14 ish wines. Great mix and chill vibes. And their food selection is more than decent for a barrel house, to boot. Their wood-fire pizza (made with local Kalama sourdough) is to die for, and their mac and cheese is also a fave! It's nice to have a place in town where 21 year olds don't hang around much too haha.

My Sons Wedding rehearsal dinner was held here. Nalealani and Janel were Awesome! Great choice of beers, the street taco's were superb. And we'll be back

One of the best places to eat and drink in town. Their wine classes are fun! The food is delicious! They have a fantastic rotating selection of beer and wine. In summer they have Rosé flights. The owners are extremely nice, knowledgeable, and want to be part of reviving Longview. I highly recommend checking out this gem in downtown.

First visit here will definitely be back. They have 16 taps plus a nice wine selection. Great atmosphere and ambiance. We tried the arty party 10 inch pizza added pepperoni. Think I will try the pork belly sliders next visit. They use a local sourdough from kalama Washington.

When I first cogitated this review, I though of playfully complaining about the lack of square barrels on the premises. However, what J&J have created here is too impressive for throwaway wit. I do not hand out 5 stars lightly but this place is different.The service staff are fantastic - what they may sometimes lack in quantity during peek hours is thoroughly absolved by quality. The beer & wine selections show an insight into the human palate (and arcane distribution systems) that few others can rival anywhere; not just in this local. The small but mighty menu demonstrates how much can be done with a limited kitchen and unconstrained imagination. However, what really holds this team together though is the leadership.Thanks to Jack, who effortlessly exudes decorum and customer service excellence, the J-Squared Barrel house is a luxurious force to contend with. His vast knowledge of the industry is palpable in everything, but no more so than in how the fabulous facets decribed above smoothly meld together.Stop by and give this place a try. You deserve it. And say 'hi' to Jack for me!

Can we talk about the famous Kalama cheesy bread!? Soooo much cheese. You almost need a pair of scissors to trim it while approaching your mouth. Great selection of beer and wine. Longview needed this!

Definitely a very trendy place. Their beer is pretty good and decent variety on wines. We ordered a pizza ( can't remember witch one) and it was pretty good. It was a nice experience and probably coming back

The server was very helpful. She suggested a few wines based on what I described usually liking and let me sample to find which one I liked best. The Brie cheese was amazing with a cherry compote on top! The pretzels were also very good.

Went to try a Tannat wine. I loved the selection they chose from Uraquay. My husband found 3 amazing beers from the extensive beer list. The food was unsurpassed in flavor and freshness. Definitely going back, is tomorrow too soon....

Stopped by for a drink and some food before a movie and was throughly impressed!!!! Amazing happy hour! We had the Brie and it was incredible!!! The dinner menu looked great as well, we just ran out of time! Will definitely go back!

Rotating taps provide something different to experience. Staff knows the industry and the area well. It's recommended you don't try the sliders. The addiction is horrible to break.

Just what Longview needed! Love the atmosphere, best customer service in town(very knowledgeable and friendly). Good selection of beer and wine, always bringing in new things to try. Appetizers are amazing. PS-Happy Hour starts at 3pm:)

This is s cool little addition to the Cowlitz County food and beverage scene. Stopped by prior to attending the Odd Couple (female version) at Stageworks last night. Had pork belly sliders, bratwurst, beer and wine. Everything was very good, particularly the beer-dipped potatoes and dip and the plates were well presented. The only complaint would be is it took a while for our food to be served, but it was worth the wait. We will return to try appetizers and desserts.

Great food, we tried the wedge salad, bratwurst and a Brie appetizer. All were delicious. Good service. Nice ambiance. It was pretty loud and echoes with a large group but that is my only complaint.

I had the opportunity to attend the soft open with my hubby and I'm really looking forward to going back. This place has friendly staff, tasty food, a really cool vibe and a FANTASTIC beer & wine selection.The dill sauce on the pork belly slider was AMAZING and I really enjoyed the Dickel Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Brown. Next time I may have to try some wine and get the cheese plate especially if they still have those amazing gluten free rosemary crackers!
